The Chinese American Museum of Chicago is the only museum in the Midwest who’s extensive archive of media and artifacts document the long history and cultural evolution of the Chinese community in the region. Located in Chicago’s Chinatown, CAMOC is a dynamic cultural center for learning and connection.

For three months as a Museum Intern at CAMOC, I went behind-the-scenes to document exhibition openings, artist talks, community events, and fundraisers for the museum. Focusing on powerful exhibition views, personal interactions within galleries, and community celebrations, I aimed to contribute to the museum’s archive of efforts to uplift underrepresented narratives through a strengthening artistic community.
